Here is what some of our Clients (Counselling) had to say:
“The counselling sessions have brought us to a new level in our marital relationship. We left our old village and walked a difficult journey, eventually reaching a point which seemed to be a dead end. However, we discovered another village, far better than the one we had left. It is a place where we quarrel less, love each other more and learn to build certain rituals that have helped us to constantly show our love for each other.”
Xinyi and Jie(excerpt from Becoming, P. 67)
"The counselling sessions are very liberating as, I can talk to someone about my problems comfortably, something which may be denied from me by my family or others. The counselling service enabled me to realise that I have the individual agency and autonomy to choose what I think is best for me in life."
A Female Client(excerpt from Becoming, P. 26)
"The counselling I received at the Centre offered the added support that I needed. It was literally, a lifeline. My counsellor’s professionalism helped me feel safe and understood. She was empathetic and understanding despite the many times I repeated myself due to the depression. I felt heard and respected."
Rachel(excerpt from Becoming, P. 26)
"I had expected that counselling would untie the knots for me, but instead it guided me in learning how to untie the knots myself. The most important knot I untied was setting my emotions and mind free after the breakup. I accepted that I could not possibly have the answers to everything that had happened and that was very liberating."
Lala(excerpt from Becoming, P.50)
"During the counselling sessions, I experienced many moments of epiphany, their significance often being revealed later as they contributed to the restoration of my confidence. The counsellor was very calming and knew how to take me through the process of discovery, enabling me to gain insights about myself which I had never experienced before. My self-confidence was rebuilt as the sessions progressed."
