Consultation for Practitioners
Aimed to advance the competence of social service practitioners with a two-fold focus on theoretical knowledge and reflexivity.
We provide practitioners with the tools and expertise to serve their clients more effectively, and foster greater self-awareness of how their perspectives and approaches impact their clinical practice.
Through individual and group consultations, practitioners from social services, hospitals, and mental health agencies can improve outcomes for their clients.
Theoretical Practice and Orientations
As consultants using systemic approaches, we help practitioners identify and address challenges within their professional environments. Collaboratively, we define their learning objectives and growth opportunities, ensuring our services are tailored to support their clinical work and professional development.
- The usual modalities for consultation are: live supervision, video/ audio taped supervision and case discussion.
- The consultation can be conducted in an individual ot agency-based setting.
- For consultation sessions where interaction with clients will be observed, the Consultees are to inform and seek the client’s consent on the observation by the Consultant.
- All issues explored during the consultation session will be kept confidential unless there are concerns related to safety and/or professional ethics, where the Consultant considers it necessary for the matter to be raised with the Consultee (individual/agency/organisation).
The consultation hours can be recognised by professional associations for registration of membership to be clinical members and supervisors e.g. Singapore Association of Counsellors
