About the Course
Provides practitioners with an opportunity to develop foundational skills in this collaborative and strengths-based therapeutic approach. Narrative therapy focuses on helping individuals externalize problems, explore alternative stories, and uncover personal strengths to foster meaningful change. The training also emphasizes the importance of cultural sensitivity and adapting narrative practices to diverse contexts.

This course enables Trainees to be equipped with Narrative Therapy tool to:
- Help clients separate themselves from their problems, promoting empowerment and agency.
- Work collaboratively to uncover and amplify strengths and resilience in individuals, families, and communities.
- Address complex issues such as trauma, grief, and identity in culturally sensitive and inclusive ways.
- Expand their professional practice with a flexible, client-centered approach applicable across diverse settings.

The course is relevant for Social workers, Counsellors, Therapists, Psychologists, Educators, School Counsellors, Community Workers, Case Managers and Healthcare Professionals.

Teaching and Learning Strategies
Trainees will be engaged in the learning process with lectures, small group discussions led by an experienced team of Therapists and Assoicate Therapists from CCC, and experiential exercises.
We are planning for the course to be conducted in our premises. However, in the event that the pandemic worsens and that we are unable to, we will conduct the training online via the zoom platform. We will make these arrangements as soon as there is clarity about what is safe.
Requirements for Completion
NTL1 does not have an assignment component. However, to be awarded the Certificate in Narrative Therapy Level 1, the Trainees must attain at least 80% of attendance of the total course hours (21 Hours).
